Soon to be hurricane Issac is forcast to make landfall later today, and spread heavy rains from the gulf coast to the great lakes. Drought ridden areas may receive upwards of 6 inches of rain. This brings with it the threat of major mosquito hatches associate with dormant eggs. Additionally, drought stricken areas cause wildlife including birds (disease reservours) and mosquitoes (disease vectors) to gather concentrating around any water.
