New EPA-approved way to prevent mosquitoes from ruining summer fun

(DALLASNEWS.COM) Summit Mosquito Bits, developed to kill mosquito larvae in standing water, has been approved by the Environmental Protection Agency to control pesky fungus gnats that lay eggs in the soil of potted plants.

Fungus gnat larvae damage plants by feeding on roots. The larvae pupate in about two weeks to become tiny black adult gnats that swarm when a container plant is disturbed.
